My little Gat Gat
Oh Gatlon where do I begin.... how about that smile? The way you melt my heart with that smile and make it contagious for anyone you use it on. You are quite the boy. You have more independence than Wyatt ever had (my fault) that I've had to get used to letting you be and figure things out on your own cause you prefer it that way. Such a content kid. Mostly you love playing with trucks, trains, airplanes, and your matchbox cars. You love stomping in puddles. But your most favorite thing to do? Riding your bike. You have been riding a non pedal Strider bike since before you were 2. YOU ARE FAST!! You love going to the bmx track and racing all the other kids. You love "jumpin' it" which you say when riding over the hills and even tell daddy to "jump it" when he's driving the truck over speed bumps.
I adore you. I adore that little voice and how much you've started talking these past months. I adore the way you come over and grab our hands to drag us over to fix something for you or get a toy down. Mostly I adore the relationship you have with Wyatt. Such loving brothers. Always playing together and mostly sharing. Wyatt loves to teach you things and fix things for you that you can't figure out. The other day we went to the park and after I got you both out of the stroller Wyatt immediately grabbed your hand to keep you safe and away from the pond. I love how sweet you are to each other. Even when there is a squabble I've always made you both apologize and hug it out. Now you do it on your own. I couldn't have been blessed more with you two.
Some of your little quirks...
You don't like anyone touching your feet which makes it difficult to keep your nails clipped.
You love touching my hair when your sitting with me and drinking your chocolate milk.
You are obsessed with chocolate milk.
You light up around other kids especially girls. You used to be shy and not like loudness but now you seek out where the party's at!
You still cover your face when you are sleeping which drives me crazy but I just go in your room and take the pillow off your head after your asleep.
You have what we call a temper switch. Since it just started happening we don't know why or when or even how it comes about. All of a sudden you are yelling gibberish and pointing. We all just laugh when you do it but I'm afraid in a few years it may not be so funny. Hopefully its just all that growing that you do so much of.
On a lighter note did I mention you are obsessed with chocolate milk? Did I mention we go through a gallon of milk per day? Between all you boys it'd be cheaper to own a cow!
I know I'm leaving things out but the truth is our lives are full of love and playdoh and trucks and bikes and dirt and milk and thankfully the two cutest smiles a mother could ever hope for.
